Horwich Cohen Coghlan Solicitors (HCC Solicitors) are an award winning specialist serious injury law firm based in the centre of Manchester.
For over 25 years the Partners at HCC have worked to build a law firm that delivers outstanding service to seriously injured clients, and over the last decade in particular they have been at the forefront of pioneering a new “rehab first” approach to dealing with these cases.
The quality of their service has been recognised by a number of recent awards, including;
- Manchester Legal Awards 2020 – Law Firm (medium size) of the Year
- Personal Injury Wards (National) 2020 – Claimant Team of the Year
- British Claims Awards (National) 2020 – Law Firm of the Year
In 2016 HCC were chosen to be part of an elite legal panel providing legal support and services to patients treated under the Major Trauma Pathway at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, and they have maintained a position on this panel ever since.
HCC offer a bespoke “Major Trauma Service” designed to work alongside the NHS pathway, and from an early stage they look to focus on the rehabilitation needs of each client. They believe that seriously injured clients will always want to achieve the best possible recovery, as quickly as possible – and the approach they take in the early stages of a serious injury case is predicated on that basis.
HCC won’t try to replace effective NHS services with private services just for the sake of it – but where there are delays or gaps in the service and treatments that the NHS can provide, then they try to fill these gaps with private treatments funded by an insurer or other compensator. In practice the aim is to overlay private treatments on top of effective NHS provision, in an effort to cover all the necessary aspects of the required rehabilitation package.
HCC are proud to be a member firm of the Major Trauma Group, and would be delighted to help anyone who needs advice and support following serious injury.
