About PsychWorks Associates

The logo for PsychWorks Associates

We are a unique psychological service offering two branches of support solely to serious- and catastrophically-injured clients:

  • trauma-informed case management
  • litigation-informed treating psychology

We work with children and adults, as well as their families using a formulation-based model to inform our work and to maximise outcomes.

Our registered clinicians are typically doctorate-level clinical psychologists, some of whom specialise in neuropsychology.

We offer individual therapy to clients, support to couples and families, care teams and consult to the winder MDT.

We also provide specialist training to care teams, case managers and legal professionals to support their roles with their clients.

Case Management

Using psychological formulation, case management is uniquely offered so a shared understanding of the client is possible. This then allows all treatments provided to be more coordinated and integrated, and therefore more likely to achieve better, sustainable outcomes.

  • Psychological Therapies

Psychological therapies to children, adults, families and care teams for seriously- and catastrophically-injured clients where clinicians are supported to integrate their input with medico-legal frameworks.

    Treatment includes:

    • trauma
    • brain injury support
    • adjustment to injury
    • grief/loss work
    • parenting in the context of injury
    • family or couple functioning
    • training care teams to client/family psychological needs
