Remedy Healthcare is a specialist rehabilitation provider focusing on complex trauma and musculo-skeletal injuries. Our model of rehabilitation was created to ensure early intervention, expert clinical care, collaborative working and continuity of care throughout the recovery pathway. We offer assessment clinics and community-based programmes for individuals located in the South East of England in addition to National access to our residential programmes.
Remedy Healthcare was established in 2016 to meet the increasing need for specialist rehabilitation programmes for individuals following complex musculo-skeletal injury. The Remedy Healthcare model was created by Dr Ian McCurdie and Mrs Allyson Ballard and is based largely on their shared experience of working with injured military personnel at DMRC Headley Court.

Remedy Healthcare offers a ‘one stop shop’ approach to rehabilitation provision. A single referral to Remedy Healthcare allows access to the specialist clinical team which includes Medical, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology and Exercise Rehabilitation Instruction.
Our clinical team is led by Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine and has significant collective expertise in rehabilitation following complex trauma, with the majority of our clinicians having worked within military rehabilitation. We strongly believe in a collaborative approach and have partnered with various other companies, including private prosthetic providers and residential facilities to enable exceptional care throughout all of our service provision.
All of our programmes begin with an assessment clinic, which is attended by the patient and the core clinical team. We strongly encourage a ‘joined-up’ approach to our intervention and therefore promote other members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), such as the case manager, solicitor and insurer to also attend these clinics either face to face or remotely. A single report is provided within 5 business days following the clinic outlining the patient’s multi-disciplinary rehabilitation needs, recommended interventions and associated costs, thus allowing early intervention to commence as soon as funding is agreed.
We deliver our rehabilitation programmes in a variety of settings, which allows the Remedy Healthcare team to provide rehabilitation throughout the entirety of an individual’s recovery pathway from ‘ward to work’. Our community intervention can be completed in the patient’s own home, local gym/park or clinic space. Additionally, we provide residential rehabilitation programmes from the Kingston Rehabilitation Centre to enable periods of intensity and care support for individuals at required intervals in their recovery pathway.
As a service, Remedy Healthcare are very aspirational and will work very hard with our clients to enable them to reach an optimal clinical outcome. Our programmes are client focuses and tailored to each individual.
